About the work
This drawing is based on my interest in disrupting spatial conventions in my paintings and installations. In this work, the paper is a physical object on which tangible forms are overlaid in flattened perspective.
As in my installations, this work is intended to be a visual journey through combinations of materials and the suggestion of organic and man-made structures.
About the artist:
Born 1986 Cyprus, Anna Lytridou lives and works in London. Graduated from Fine arts at Athens School of Fine Arts (2009), and MA Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins London (2011).
Lytridou’s work is based on her experience of being immersed in, exploring, and travelling in the physical environment. Combining shapes and elements from landscapes and architecture, Lytridou creates new narratives.
