About the work

Aftermath explores the editorial process, the endeavour of calibrating thought and ideas through writing, its aesthetic expression, and the resulting silence. This doing and undoing, writing and unwriting, labour and futility, are here both productive and critical, pointing to the current climate of censorship, silencing of voices by the media and its complicity with state power. The flooding on the page, of sticky, blood thick blotches of ink, a signifier of resistance and rebellion.
