About the work

The Winter Drawings are made during the last two and the first two months of every year, starting no sooner than November 1st and Finishing no later than the final day in February. The drawings are made from cut black masking tape, cut using a surgical scalpel,  they are usually made on book end papers framed individually and installed as a diptych. The Winter Drawing for the Drawing Room Biennial 2024 is a single Winter Drawing, continuing the tradition of making a single Winter Drawings for the Biennale.

Liversidge’s work is conceptually focussed, spanning text, photography, collage, sculpture and performance, Liversidge’s approach to his work invites collaboration and is subsequently formed by influences beyond his control; his artworks are often investigations of coincidence and not limited to the language of a single medium.
