Right of pre-emption / first option to buy

For a period of two years following the Invoice date, before selling the work to a third party, the buyer must give Drawing Room the option to purchase the work. In this instance, Drawing Room will contact the artist and/or their representative.

Artists’ Resale Royalty

In certain countries, local laws entitle the artist or the artist’s estate to a royalty known as ‘artist’s resale right’ when any lot created by the artist is resold by the buyer. The buyer is responsible for the payment of any such royalty.
